Hi all :),

Joachim runs a v-server for muse-sequencer.org, where we have full root
access.

I already have tinkered around with some forums and found that we can
import the old forum backup into a phpBB3 without *too* many PITA; it
has turned out however, that this will raise an acute spam problem, i
tried various captchas and all failed to hold off the spambots.

Currently, IIRC, i have setup a custom captcha that merely asks you
what's the long form of "MusE", which seems to have worked quite well;
however, this is obviously trivial to break if a spammers attention is
drawn to our forum.

Well, then I forgot about the forum, had things to do, and things have
vanished from my head ;)

I assume we can host the forum on Joachim's server, that would probably
be the easiest to maintain; are 1 core and 1GB ram enough for this? I
have no forum experience on my own.
We could also add a subdomain, e.g. forum.muse-sequencer.org which then
points to any other server; but this probably makes things hard to
maintain, i guess.

I'll see what i can do when i find some time. Or do you wan to set
things up, Joachim?

Cheers,
flo
