Hi, sorry for the late reply. CC'ing the list for more help...

Yes, looks like we have no docs for that :-(

In this case it seems the 'old style' Drum Track and its Drum Map files
are not up to the task. The Drum Map files only allow 128 entries.

Enter Florian's 'new style' Drum Track and Drum Maps :-)
These do allow more than 128 items, with banks.

Unlike the old style drum .map files, these 'new style' Drum Maps
are embedded into, and edited as, an instrument.

Therefore you either open the Instrument Editor and copy, modify,
or create a new instrument, or copy, modify, or create a new
Instrument Definition File (.idf).

Look in the Instrument Editor, the New Drum Map editing facility is there.

In the .idf file here is a piece of just one example, the GM2 idf file:

GM2.idf:
... ... ...
    <Drummaps>

        <patch_collection prog="0-7" lbank="0" hbank="120" />
        <drummap>

        ... ... ... etc.
        </drummap>

        <patch_collection prog="8-15" lbank="0" hbank="120" />
        <drummap>

        </drummap>

        ... ... ... etc.
    </Drummaps>
... ... ...

Do take a look also at GS.idf, XG.idf and a couple of others which support
this, so far.
lbank and hbank can be omitted if zero.
And remember be careful of zero-vs-one based numbering.
pitch and program are also zero-based I think.
When some of this info is displayed it MAY be translated to one-based
numbers. So watch out for the numbering.

I think that's all there is to it.
Flo may chime in with more advice.

Tim.
