Today I made a tarball for intermediate MusE release called
2.2beta1. It's aimed for testing of lv2 plugin host support in MusE.

Among others, the main fix was made to prevent selection of deleted
synth tracks (that are in undo buffer) as midi ports for midi/drum
tracks. Also these synths will not be available for selection and
modification in midi ports/synths dialog (greyed out).
Another bug was fixed, that could be a cause of various segfaults and
hangs of MusE (as in my case).
In muse2/track.cpp at line 661 there was:
for (int i = MIDI_PORTS; i > -1; i--)
....
that line caused writing to forbidden areas of memory. In my case MuseE
just hangs with 100% cpu usage.
Fixed this by:
for (int i = MIDI_PORTS - 1; i > -1; i--)
....
It's a rather simple change, but it was not so simple to find the reason
though :).
