Yeah I know, the menus are convenient one/two click operation.

I am keenly aware that to be useful the router must be at least as easy
 to use as the menus. Otherwise it's a pain and ruins the whole thing.

So I will make the router contextual and strive to accomplish ease of use
 with other smart features like filtering and so on.
So it can replace the menus yet still present a complete view if desired 
 upon pressing a button, and so on.

At the very least I think the ability to see all the connections at once 
 trumps any initial inconveniences.

I should make clear that the routing buttons on the strips will NOT
 disappear. They will simply open the new router contextually.
