Hi Jens,
Your report is very detailed, as usual :).
Now fixed it (I hope). By default bar color was set to lightGrey. But it
seems, that qt4 and qt5 treat it differently. So I changed it to black
and now all vertical bars are colored as in your second screenshot.
To check it, update tour cloned copy:
git pull
rebuild and reinstall. This color setting is also saved to muse's local
config file, so before running updated version remove ~/.config/MuSE fir
first.
Regards,
Andrew.

Hi,
I have now two installations of MusE 2.2.1 in my Ubuntu Studio 14.04.2
installation:
a) An installation which I compiled using the source code which is
offered via the MusE homepage. This installation is located in
/opt/muse_2.2.1_unpatched
b) An installation that is based on the command
git clone https://github.com/muse-sequencer/muse.git
I executed this command today. The MusE installation that is based on
the source code downloaded by the git command is located in
/opt/muse_2.2.1
I created a new midi song with installation b). This song is based on a
Fluidsynth instance in which I loaded the soundfont FluidR3 (148,4 MB).
When I in installation b) defined notes in this new songs in the
pianoroll and the drumroll, I noticed that within the piano- and
drumroll the display of the vertical grid lines is wrong: the vertical
lines at the beginning of each bar (1st bar, 2nd bar, 3rd bar a.s.o.)
are not thicker than all the other vertical lines in the piano- and
drumroll. This makes placing notes at the correct positions difficult. I
saved the file.
But when I open this med file in installation a), then the gridlines for
the vertical lines at the beginning of each bar (1st bar, 2nd bar, 3rd
bar a.s.o.) are correctly displayed: they are thicker than all other
vertical lines.
To demonstrate this, I attached two screenshots, so that you can see
what I mean:
- The attachment "grid_problem_muse_source_from_homepage.png" shows the
behaviour in installation a)
- The attachment "grid_problem_muse_from_clone.png" shows the behaviour
in installation b)
I did not change any display settings regarding the display in the
piano- and drumroll, neither in installation a) nor installation b)
Any idea about how to solve this behaviour in installation b)? I would
like to work with installation b) because it is based on QT5 and newer
lilv libraries, which the Ubuntu repositories (partly) do not offer, and
because I have a problem with the Fabla LV2 synth (see my last email
from today) which should better be solved with installation b).
Regards,
Jens
