Hi Andrew,

Thanks for the advise to (re-)move the current ~/.config/MusE folder.

Well, I compiled the latest git version of MusE into a seperate, new
folder, I did not remove the ~/.config/MusE folder. Then I started the
latest git version of MusE by double-clicking the programme file muse3 in
the bin folder. I could not see any error messages regarding wrong
information in the old ~/.config/MusE folder when muse3 started. I guess
these error messages to which you refer would be displayed if I start
muse3 from the console. Or they were not displayed because I already had
let MusE create a new version of the ~/.config/MusE folder because I
formerly used a git version of MusE which was newer than the official Muse
2.2. version.

Would it make sense to create a routine for MusE 3.0 which migrates the
content of the muse 2.2 ~/.config/MusE folder to a content which MusE 3.0
needs during the first start of Muse 3.0? Due to this, error messages
during the first start of Muse 3.0 could be avoided, and certain
information from the muse 2.2 ~/.config/MusE folder can be kept, like
certain MusE settings (I do not know exactly which) and the paths to
formerly opened med files which are displayed in the File => Open recent
files menu.

Regards,

Jens
