Wow, that brings back memories. I have a SE-50 stoved away, I use it
occasionally live but I think it gave up the ghost a while ago..

The MOD DUO doesn't have any internal battery but potentially it could be
run that way, ARM isn't so power hungry.
Though it's a bit early to recommend it I think it will be a great solution
in a year or so, then it might even be publicly available.

It has midi in so that should be doable. I ordered an expression pedal in
the kickstarter also but I haven't seen that one yet so not sure how it is
connected.
