Further to the announced new colour editing :

* New - Live colour editing and Colour Chooser Dialog in Appearance Settings:
- All target colours are updated live in realtime.
With functional Apply, Cancel, and OK.
A 500 msec timer waits till you stop moving the mouse because
our configChanged signalling system was not designed for such
fast realtime changes, especially with many open windows !
I tried a periodic timer but the colour chooser mouse movement was too jerky.
If you've ever seen our Appearance colour code, this will interset you:
I had to do a small but scary pointer math to transform from the current
pointer-to-color-in-working-copy-of-config to the actual
/global/ config structure for live updating.
I've always wanted to nail that one down ;-)
Also, to make Apply, Cancel, and OK all work, Appearance now holds
/two/ copies of the global config structure : One is the working copy,
and one is a backup copy of the original which is written to when
Apply is hit and restored from when Cancel is hit.
Ah well, tests OK so far, /loads/ of fun eye candy tweaking!
And, speaking of orange...
Ya know I just fooled around with this new /live/ colour chooser
and wow... Orange for the meters looks really nice, just like
real orange vacuum flourescent VUs. Mmm... old JVC !
This is fun. I've always said colours make a difference.
I will try to quickly post and commit a few example colour config
files including a more 'standard' one (without orange sliders).
I think I may change the default again (orange meters).
If we all can agree on a pleasing Colour Config File before release,
we'll go with that as a default.
