Huh? I am looking at my build of drumgizmo and there is a 
 drumgizmo.lv2 folder (there must be otherwise LV2 won't work).

It sounds like grumgizmo did not build or install correctly ?

So... that path to drumgizmo.so should be a folder called 'drumgizmo.lv2', no?
If not, something's wrong.

LV2 definitely needs to look in folders called '*.lv2' otherwise 
 it won't work. The folder cannot be named with any other extension.
