Hi. Hope everyone's taking a well deserved break to catch their breath.
Thanks to all our devs and testers for helping!

After upgrading to Kubuntu 16.04 I see some compile issues.
The latest Jack deprecates some functions and MusE stops building
due to the warnings. I am fixing that right now.

I will also take care of some outstanding graphics issues such as
the instrument and patch boxes text, and horizontal slider text 'mash ups'
 as requested.

I think it is also time I retired a small thing I added long ago:
When you click on any volume slider the mouse cursor immediately jumps
 to the slider 'thumb'.
It may not be obvious why that was done: I did it so that during playback
of automation, when sliders might be moving all over the place by themselves,
one can 'grab' onto a rapidly moving slider and the mouse will be immediately
over the thumb. Much like the real world, grabbing an actual motorized
slider knob to stop it from moving.
However, after reexamination I think we can live without this.
I think it will work just fine if we can click the slider anywhere,
the slider will still stop moving as expected.
After all, the current behavior is kind of non-standard and new users might
be surprised by it. Although, it has been that way for several years now.
If I change this, the behavior of all sliders will then be consistent.

Tim.
