- Upon startup, Jack midi inputs/outputs are (finally) now
paired together into single MidiDevices just like
  the ALSA MidiDevices.

This will reduce the number of midi devices
cluttering the device list by up to one half.

Existing projects /should/ load fine since they contain all their own
port and device configurations, albeit typically with separate
Jack MidDevices for each jack input and output port.

How it works: If the DIFFERENCE between two Jack midi
port names are EXACTLY the words:

"capture" and "playback", or
"input" and "output", or
"in" and "out", or finally
"c" and "p",

then the ports are considered a matched pair.

(The best names or aliases are picked, "system:" are avoided,
similar to our persistent port routes feature.)

It is not foolproof, of course.
For ports to be matched, they MUST contain the above words.

Lemme know if any trouble.

Dennis, if you're out there I haven't forgot your request
for multiple selections in the settings device window,
and a better startup option to have no devices at all.
(I'd actually forgotten that I still auto-fill the devices list
even though auto-fill ports is disabled. This is actually
supposed to be a feature - having the devices just 'there'.)

Hang in there. Trying to improve things...

Tim.

Mobile security can be enabling, not merely restricting. Employees who
bring their own devices (BYOD) to work are irked by the imposition of MDM
restrictions. Mobile Device Manager Plus allows you to control only the
apps on BYO-devices by containerizing them, leaving personal data untouched!
