Ha! You read my mind.

Yes, I don't like the sliders there - ugly and cluttered.
A slider 'bar' is unneccesary there, I think.

I had begun work on a special GUI control for that patch section,
 but complications forced me to just use the sliders there - for now.

What I had in mind is to make it look like 7-segment LED or LCD numbers, 
 like a typical midi foot controller board or something.

I have already started a GUI control in the source for this - 
 an 'LCD number' class.
