Hi Robert, > I think it was good and want more! :-)
Okay, I have uploaded another song to Soundcloud.com, "Song 1". All three instruments are based on Fluidsynth instances, the bass is distorted with a guitarix plugin. You can listen to it at https://soundcloud.com/user-379160355 Well, the piano track in this "Song 1" is for my taste a litle bit too simple, but I wanted to finish my first MusE song as soon as possible. The drums do not sound well in this song, they are also based on a Fluidsynth instance. Note that I did some other 3 songs about 10 years ago with MusE, but I don't have the files anymore. Maybe you (Robert) can remember that I at that time posted some MusE issues via the MusE mailing lists. > But you get a pretty good result by just adding a multiband compressor and > multiband limiter to the output when you mixdown, to be able to push the > levels a bit further up. Thanks for the hint, I would like to try this using the Calf synths, but they don't work on my machine (Ubuntu Studio 14.04.4 with latest available MusE 3.0 pre-release version). Also the Calf Multiband * synths show a GUI on my machine which displayes 9/10th of the GUI of the main window of MusE. > The CALF ones are very good in my opinion, though right now the guis don't > work with *buntu 16.04 as I'm sure you heard :'( Yes. And you probably noticed the issue which I created at GitHub at https://github.com/muse-sequencer/muse/issues/506 I updated this issue entry today with some more information. > By the way, today was a good day, did two gigs solo (was a very > long time since that happened), so kind of used up right now, but it's a > good feeling (^.^) Did you have two gigs at two different locations at the same time? :-D Regards, Jens Am Samstag, 7.
