No, this type is defined on purpose to be opaque, so that the actual "struct
odp_pmr_s" is declared by the implementation. The structure may internally
contain one or more uint32_t types, but that is not defined at the API level.

No, there is no need fpr an "extern" declaration of the structure. The "forward
declaration" of this structure is already present in the typedef statement.

This structure was the result of the API negotiations, and was needed in order
to acomodate both value+mask and range notations for header values, and now is
part of the normative API, and it helps reduce the number of function
arguments, and to support the table-oriented PMR configuration.

is this struct to be defined by vendors?
if so don't we need "extern struct odp_pmr_s" before?

Yes. This needs to be a uint32_t type.

Why do we need to expose this struct in the public header file?
This structure is used to pass the parameters from application to
implementation. This structure will be common for all the different platforms
and each platform will have their own internal mechanism to store the PMR value
and that will be opaque to the application.

Anders
