Hey Alex, hope you’re doing well! Sorry there weren’t more details in the bug.

By “add counters”, the intention was simply to add some periodic statistics for
“normal” (i.e. live traffic) mode and summary statistics for the “stream” (i.e.
standalone
test) mode to make it easier to determine what’s happening if something isn’t
working correctly.

By “tracing”, I had hoped to add the ability to dump packets to the screen at
various points in the packet processing, and have that controlled by a command
line option.

And you are correct on the order verification, verify packets are kept in order
during crypto processing.

Hope this helps,
Robbie

clarifications

Hi Robbie, in case you missed this I'm resending.
Also could you explain why magic number verification should be removed - it is
used to verify (part of) the payload after applying IPSec.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Robbie,
could you add some clarifications on what is expected for the following :
- add counters
- add tracing
By "order verification" I assume the intent is to verify that for each defined
input stream the packets were received in the input stream order.

Thanks,
Alex
