I'm planning to do 1.7 on earlier days on next week (1 - 3 of February).
To doing that I'm cherry-picking changes from api-next branch to next
branch.
Acceptance criteria is following: there should be api change,
linux-generic implementation
and validation test case for code coverage.
If somebody wants to help me and cherry-pick some features please let me
know. That will be
very helpful.
