I think that was fixed by making adding (compatible with GNU linkers) in the --version output. There was a brief discussion at: https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/libtool/2017-03/msg00006.html I suggest seeing if your ld.lld --version contains that string. If it doesn't you may need a more recent LLD.
