  Subject: [Loadstone] GPS project

  Hello sir,

First of all thank you for replying. It means a lot. I am doing my post
graduation in information technology.

I have worked on apps before but nothing major as such. I wanted to work on
android myself as it is in and Symbian has become obsolete. So I would really
appreciate if you could help me with this project and is it possible to get
loadstone working on android ?

  Thank you again

  Means a lot.

    Hello ,

May this email reach you in the best of your condition.

My name is Isra Akbar , I am currently a student in the international
Islamic University of Malaysia. I myself am basically from Kashmir and I am
    studying in Malaysia.

I am post graduate student and I just started my research on Nagivation
for blind people. I have visited the Malaysian association for the blind
and I have had conversations with the blind people over there and they
mentioned their problems in regard to navigation.

Then I came across your website while I was searching for some ways to
develop my own project title. So , I would really appreciate and since it
is a great cause if you could tell me if I have landed on the right page
and if it would be possible for me to develop it for Malaysia.

I will be looking forward to hearing from you since it is really important
    to me and my project.

    Thank you so much

Isra, FWIW, there are also some other blind-/VI-specific bits of GPS
software out there, for both iPhone and android smart phones, and some of them
use the open street map data, which might, especially be more feasible/useful
in certain parts of the world, etc., but anyway.

And, will also say that still love loadstone, and used it here in South
Africa, but, my last nokia/symbian phone - the N82, with it's built-in GPS unit
- is on it's way out, what with battery etc., and have myself switched over to
android phone usage, but anyway.

    Stay well

    HalloIsra Akbar ,

What subject are you doing your post doc in?
    Can you program apps?

And what doe you mean by devellop? i.e. do you want to try to port
Loadstone-gps to android? That would make a lot of people happy.

    Hello Isra.
There may or may not be data for Malaysia in our loadstone point share
exchange. We've intigrated the openstreetmap data with our own data so this
gives us a lot more coverage.
