Not sure what Sean and them used, but, think it was either python, or java - he'd be best to answer that one.
Will also just say that while have, and still am, busy beta-testing certain GPS apps on android platform, biggest issue with any form of directional information with regards to non-street-based points is they all use compass directions, which are then somewhat inconsistent if you're not holding phone in your hand, and one of the things love about loadstone is that it, AFAIK, used average travel direction to then determine which direction you were facing/heading, to then provide relative directional information, if that makes sense. My name is Isra Akbar , I am currently a student in the international Islamic University of Malaysia. I myself am basically from Kashmir and I am studying in Malaysia. I am post graduate student and I just started my research on Nagivation for blind people. I have visited the Malaysian association for the blind and I have had conversations with the blind people over there and they mentioned their problems in regard to navigation. Then I came across your website while I was searching for some ways to develop my own project title. So , I would really appreciate and since it is a great cause if you could tell me if I have landed on the right page and if it would be possible for me to develop it for Malaysia. I will be looking forward to hearing from you since it is really important to me and my project. Thank you so much -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... And, will also say that still love loadstone, and used it here in South Africa, but, my last nokia/symbian phone - the N82, with it's built-in GPS unit - is on it's way out, what with battery etc., and have myself switched over to android phone usage, but anyway. There may or may not be data for Malaysia in our loadstone point share exchange. We've intigrated the openstreetmap data with our own data so this gives us a lot more coverage.
