Howdy Jan,
> Why would we want to set one worldwide date for such an event?
As ever, I am always open to ideas, but I think having a single day has
more splash. Its a single day when LoCo teams around the world are doing
things - thats got good press impact, and a single point of focus for
getting people involved.

Don't get me wrong here - it is not about creating separate teams, but
to work with the Art and Marketing teams to get stuff done. So the
volunteer would know what Art or Marketing things we need doing, and
work with the Art and Marketing teams to ensure we get the stuff we
need. Think of these roles as liaison roles.

Indeed, and this is part of the reason why I am pushing for more docs
across the project. This is why I am keen to document things like
planets, user maps, working with other groups, and why the FAQ is a
great resource to fill up with these tips.

This is about writing case studies and articles about what happened, and
then filling out our existing docs and the FAQ with our experience from
the day.
I am more than happy to hear everyones thoughts on this - this is *our*
community, and everyone's thoughts are important. Thanks for the great
feedback Jan. :)
