Hello everyone, Here's a quick summary on what was discussed in yesterdays meeting:
Items that were proposed to be discussed: * Joey wants to talk about https://launchpad.net/products/ubuntu-website/+bug/51382 bug and how it relates to LoCos but he will be in a client meeting on 28 Nov 2006. * InterLoCo communications. * Updating the current LoCoTeamHowto document to be much more specific and *pratical* * Ubuntu Women's group - where does it fit into the Loco scheme? * How to setup a LoCoteam newsletter (and avoid fragmentation) The only topic that was discussed was the "InterLoCo communications". The main problem that was presented was the barrier that exists because of the different languages the LoCo's communicate in (it was agreed that the problem was a language one and not geographical). The main concern is getting all the information that is going around the LoCo's and making it available in English for the rest of the LoCo's to benefit from of it. Blue_T explained that the Chinese speaking LoCo's have solved this by having one common mailing list and IRC channel. The proposal that most seemed to agree on was having one representative from each LoCo communicate with the rest of the same language speaking ones on a regular basis. There was a proposition for the LoCo's to meat and discuss the issue to come up with proposals for the next meeting. The rest of the discussion has been deferred to the next LoCo meeting.
