Hi All In the Danish LoCo-team, we are currently having a debate about our governance structure.
Up until now, all decisions have been made by everyone who shows up the IRC meeting (generally by discussion, sometimes by majority votes). We have a association (danish: "forening") with a membership, originally set up to handle donations and the like. That association has a board consisting of 5 members (1 president, 1 treasurer and 3 ordinary members) and 2 extras. Currently the association members and the board has no more say than everyone else at the IRC meetings, even in matters concerning the associations finances, and that worries some people. So, how do you do it in your LoCo? Is there a certain level of contribution required to handle money for the LoCo, does contributers or 'members' have more of a say?
