The Berlin team is organising release parties twice a year since 2006.
costs:
~ EUR 200 room rent
~ EUR 35 for 100 blank CDs + Ink
+ Food
In the last years, each time we had about 200 guests. We try to spend
as little money as possible. We sell fresh burned CDs for EUR 1, and
also merchandising and food.
I think its not that hard to organize events, since you really don't
have to spend a lot. With less than 50 guests you could also go to a
bar...
