This year (3+years later) we have gotten Ubuntu hours outside of Dublin, this is very new and we're trying to test the waters. We have them on Cork and Limerick now, but there would be no point in setting up a LoCo yet or any time in the future with only 2 people, we all work and promote Ubuntu under the Ireland umbrella. We have our global jam this month in Dublin, as again venue and people are there, but what we are doing is to to have one day face to face and on Sunday we can work remotely on IRC. So there are lots of different ways to get your community involved. What I have noticed on this thread, is that many of the issues raised seem to be USA centric.
