Not a banner, more like a block of html content with some information
on next events and a link to LD for registration of participation. I
can draw some mockups later.

Planet is a place we, ubuntu members, publish most of the happenings.
But it does not work for new teams with no Ubuntu members to post
news. If you look at LoCo Team websites most have a news section that
is probably underused and would definetelly benefit of some more feed
love.

Team admins would definetelly add a number of cd's handed out in each
event if they need. Software Freedom Day does this every year and it
would be great stats if we could gather all the info from across the
globe.

Not the shipped CD's, The delivered cd's by the LoCo Teams. I think it
would be easier to track as long as teams are into it.
