I would really like to use log4cxx in my tntnet, but it is not possible yet, because of this autoconf-problem (config_auto.h defines common macros e.g. PACKAGE). I sent a patch for it some time ago and I would really like to see it solved. It is not possible for me to use it without solving it.Did you try the CVS HEAD version ? It's supposed to be solved, at least partially. Tell me if it's enough for your needs (it is for mines for now).
Is there any chance to get this fixed before the next release?
