Hi,

Sorry, forget what I wrote. log4cxx uses some experimental cpptasks
features which only exist in CVS, but are not yet part of the packages
which can be downloaded from SF (I only used the ant build once at the
very beginning, and then began to work on the autotools enhancements
;-) )

So, you either need to get the CVS head of cpptasks from
http://sourceforge.net/cvs/?group_id=36177 (use "cpptasks" as module
name) and build it. It results in a cpptasks.jar file with all
necessary features.

Or, you can get a daily build from
http://brutus.apache.org/gump/public-jars/cpptasks/ as
Curt noted in an earlier posting.

BUT: brutus.apache.org is currently down:

An error occurred while loading http://brutus.apache.org/gump/public-jars/cpptasks:
Could not connect to host brutus.apache.org.

Curt, anyone out there who should be notified about this? :-)

Best Regards,

        Andreas

The problem is that the cppTasks from the url:

e.g. cpptasks-1.0b3/cpptasks.jar in cpptasks-1.0b3.tar.gz.

Isn't new enough to use with the build.xml that comes with log4cxx.
The build.xml has a check and will issue the following error:

"cpptasks required Use CVS HEAD or Feb 2005 or later release from
http://ant-contrib.sourceforge.net. "

That's the problem that I've been having trying to get the log4cxx project
up and running. I can't find a cpptask new enough to use.
