Sorry, I'm only building a static build. If you would like me to, I'll
attempt to create a dll and use it with my application.

If you could only do one thing, I would appreciate you trying the
recipe in the bug report and verifying whether you get the same link
errors. However, if you could do that and try to build a shared
library with autotools that would be even better.
