Hi Thorsten, thank you for your quick response. I am going to stick to the instructions for 0.10.0: https://logging.apache.org/log4cxx/building/vstudio.html
Before I start compiling the trunk: have the dependencies of log4cxx changed? The instructions describes compiling 0.10.0 with apr-1.2.11 and apr-util-1.2.10. Does the current trunk compile with the current Apache Portable Runtime (1.5.2 and 1.5.4 respectively)? No, I simply don't have the time to deal with a release and try to focus on support and a bit bug fixing. > I don't have much time that I can offer, Welcome to the club! ;-) > Is it possible to compile the current trunk with visual studio 2010? Should be, I used VS Express 2013(?) last year and it did work. > I could test the current trunk in our application. Or maybe, I could > write some documentation? Combine both by getting the current trunk to build on your environment using some of the officially documented ways and write down everything you needed to change or which didn't work in the build process or such and then we'll change the docs. I did that the first time with VS myself and already changed some parts, but there where people reporting that the official docs to build using Maven and Ant are still not good enough. https://logging.apache.org/log4cxx/building/index.html Mit freundlichen Grüßen, Thorsten Schöning -- Thorsten Schöning E-Mail: thorsten.schoen...@am-soft.de AM-SoFT IT-Systeme http://www.AM-SoFT.de/ Telefon...........05151- 9468- 55 Fax...............05151- 9468- 88 Mobil..............0178-8 9468- 04 AM-SoFT GmbH IT-Systeme, Brandenburger Str. 7c, 31789 Hameln AG Hannover HRB 207 694 - Geschäftsführer: Andreas Muchow
