The release task for 0.9.8 is http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LOGCXX-62. There are definitely tasks that I think need to be accomplished before a subsequent release, but it is hard to predict when available time will allow them to be completed. The desire is soon, but I've been saying that for a while.
