I've committed the changes in the last hour but am still working on 
fixing the resulting breakage on Windows, but that should not hold you 
up.  You may want to subscribe to the log4cxx-dev mailing list where 
you would see the CVS change notifications and is more appropriate for 
discussing build log4cxx especially on more unusual platforms.
