Title: Building the 0.9.8

Hello,

I've picked up Andreas' dist-tarball and various other things (apr, apr-util, etc) which I've installed on my old Debian Linux 2.2.20. I've run autogen.sh and I've run configure but the latter fails (syntax error near unexpected token ',') because there is an APR_FIND_APU( , , 1, 1) that looks as though it should have been replaced by some shell code by m4 in presumably the autogen phase... I'm just guessing, I don't really understand what is going on here! Is there anything I can do about this?

Also... do you really have to pass configure the --with-thread option in order to get support for multi-threading? I'm presuming that I won't have to use ant to build log4cxx - supposing, of course, that I can get past the current problem!

Allen.
