Bassically can 0.9.7 be used in a production enviroment. As long as it
works I dont care to much about architecture or if the network layer
uses APRS campatible libs etc...

This is identical to SVN head, but contains some additional
patches which will hopefully make it into SVN in the
near future. There are also binaries for Linux and
for MS-Windows available.
