If anyone was looking to work on this appender, I would suggest
considering using the database support recently added to Apache
Portable Runtime. I added this as an enhancement request (https://
issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LOGCXX-61) a long time ago but I
haven't had time to work on it myself and no one else has taken it on.
