Getting Started under VS2005

Hello!
I'm new to C++ and am trying to get log4cxx to run under a little console 
test application written with Visual Studio 2005 C++
Can you please tell me what to add where in order to make your examples 
under http://logging.apache.org/log4cxx/manual.html
work?
