There were quite a few issues with log4j's NTEventLogAppender that were fixed about this time last year (http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=41169 ). I assume that they probably affect log4cxx too, but I haven't attempted to reconcile them since those changes.
