Hi Tim, I think this question may be better posed on the log4j-users list, but I have one possible answer you may wish to consider.
I am working on a comprehensive GUI for log4j, which was inspired by Chainsaw. Currently it is only capable of altering Levels, and is implemented as a standalone app, but is headed for the same place you are. One possible drawback is that it is GPL, though we could discuss alternatives in private if you would like to link it into proprietary software. (guessing you are interested in integrating with Casi-Rusco's security sytems? I notice that CARMA is GPL, very nice) Screenshot: http://traxel.com/img/lumbermill-02.png Latest Tarball: http://fortyfive.traxel.com/tools/lumbermill.tar.gz On Tue, 27 Nov 2001, Tim McClure wrote: > I am using log4j and need to implement an interface that will allow for > dynamic run-time configuration.
