Here's a patch to Jon Skeet's DatedFileAppender which fixes some potential problems in the date logic. There's both a patch file which contains the changes with respect to his initial version (http://www.mail-archive.com/log4j-dev@jakarta.apache.org/msg01049.html) and a jar file containing the complete current version of the source code. I realize Ceki has a fix for the DailyRollingFileAppender restart problem in the 1.2 alpha, but since we need to go ahead with 1.1.3 right now, DatedFileAppender looks like the best option, and perhaps a couple other people need a solution with 1.1.3 as well.
