I will start with a small "tour" message tonight to familiarize folks with the premise and basic design for review. Once satisfied, we can move on and start checking code into cvs. I really do want feedback. I consider this as much of a learning experience as a chance to do something really cool for log4j. > If I remember correctly we all agreed that it was a good idea to > separate "Watchdog" functionality from configuratiors code. Yes, the ability to load/configure/run reconfigurators from a configuration file is a goal. I had placed it on the back burner because I wanted to get the design right. That and there are some issues of when the existing configurator(s) get started and stopped during configuration, how many reconfigurators are allowed, is there a manager class to manage them, etc. We should dig into this area during the review. Regarding JMX, I think that using it to provide some control over the reconfigurators is a good idea. Please keep this in mind during the review and let me know what needs to be done to support it. I'll post again later tonight. thanks, -Mark -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For additional commands, e-mail: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
