Hi, I've been following the discussion for support of log4perl, log4net and so on, and after looking at SocketNode, it seems to me that if this class was decoupled in 2: SocketReader/Receiver and LogEventReader it would be easy to implement formats other than java serialization protocol, like XML or even a very simple (and fast) pattern based parsing.
This would also help on implementing other types of transport protocols, like UDP datagrams, SMTP, HTTP, XML-RPC, Soap, etc. What do you think ?
