Jason, > 1) You have two graphic interfaces that are in the build. Chainsaw and lf5, chainsaw seems to be getting the most > commits but lf5 seems already ahead in features? Is lf5 being phased out in log4j for chainsaw or the reverse?
Scott Deboy and Paul Smith have been greatly enhancing Chainsaw in the log4j-sandbox area. No work has been done to LF5 recently. It is just based on the interest of the developers, not a specific plan to phase out one over the other. I'd have to give the new Chainsaw and edge as far as new gui/features. >2) I noticed on the "Plan" webpage that there is a note about re-implementing the DailyRollingFileAppender. That >actually intersects a couple of areas that I have been working on recently and I wanted to know if there has been a >design laid out for the new implementation. Ceki should probably comment on this as he has done much of this re-implementation. I'm not sure what state it is in. But your feedback on this or any other log4j area is always wanted and appreciated. -Mark --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
