The abbreviation/acronym of "Top Level Project",
Top-Level Project of the Apache Software Foundation (ASF).
e.g. The Apache James, The Apache Cocoon, The Apache Avalon
The Apache Jakarta, etc. etc.
TLP can have its own Project Management Committee, and report
directly to the ASF.
TLP can also have a brand new domain name: (tlp).apache.org
e.g. logging.apache.org
TLP can have its own UNIX group name: @ daedalus and minotaur
For example, all the log4j committers have "jakarta" group permission.
But they do not always have permission of "xml"/"httpd" group. So, you
will fail on connection if you try to use
":pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/home/cvs"
to connect to xml-***, httpd-*** modules (via SSH).
