Hi Eugene, Chainsaw v2 is available in the jakarta-log4j cvs module (so not the sandbox one). You will need to use Ant to build and run it at this stage (use the 'chainsaw' target)
At the moment this new version does not support playing sounds, but I have to say that is a great idea. I had plans to try and get Chainsaw to pop up if it was minimized, but I haven't done that yet. A sound might be more appropriate anyway.
