Folks who have previously ran Chainsaw v2 from CVS or using the ant
script may need to delete the .chainsaw directory
(under %USERPROFILE%\.chainsaw in windows) due to the conversion of MDC
entries to PROPERTIES.

Thanks for getting this set up, Paul

Subject: Chainsaw & Java Web start

For all you bleeding edge Chainsaw people out there I have signed with
my own personal email certificate the jars required to run Chainsaw via
Java Webstart.

I have not hooked this up to the web start, so you need to know the
direct URL. You must have Java Web Start installed on your system for
this to work, of course.

So, be game, and point your browser to this URL:

http://logging.apache.org/log4j/docs/webstart/chainsaw/chainsawWebStart.
jnlp

You will be prompted to accept the certificate, which you of course are
free not to do, you just won't be able to run it...

Notes, I only signed and uploaded jakarta-oro 2.0.6, as that's all I had
on me at the time. I can replace that as needed.

Feedback appreciated. If I don't here anything bad, I plan to update
the Chainsaw html page with the images/buttons/JavaScript required to
make it look pretty.

cheers,

Paul Smith
