I, like (I suspect) the majority of JCL victims, have not complained or ask for help because: - The general problems with JCL have been well documented by Ceki, and my problems are no doubt just instances of these. The best I could hope for is a situation-specific workaround. - JCL problems are not trivial to replicate, as they involve specific multi-classloader scenarios encountered in some app servers (in my case, Tomcat's included JCL breaking my webapp's). It is generally not productive to raise such issues on public lists. > > So please don't let egos or politics screw up any chance of a solution > > to this mess. I made no such accusation - just a plea for all involved not to let past experiences (perceived denial of JCL problems, provoking Ceki's antagonism) get in the way of a real solution (whatever the JCL team promote as JCL 1.0's successor). FTR, when it comes to community aspects of development, I hold Commons developers in the highest esteem. --Jeff > Regards, Simon > > --------------------------------------------------------------------- > To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
