It may not be within Gump's domain, but I would still like to see some kind
of remote build machine/process. Something that is used to build official
versions of apache software with known sets of dependent sources, etc. Do
you think that the Gump software/infrastructure could be used to create such
a beast? I am going to bring it up at some point, but I want to get past
the 1.2.11 build before taking on another item.

Subject: RE: Running tests against different jdk versions
Hi,
This is not authorative, but I doubt that it will happen since the
resource
requirements for an "additional" JDK is immense. On brutus, a complete
build
consumed many hours, and filled up disk space like nothing else.
Gump is currently in a state of flux, and I would suggest that this
request is
brought back up when Gump3 is smoothly operating.
Thanks for the correction Niclas. It's good to know, since we were
planning
something similar but of even more difficulty (non-Sun JVMs of various
versions) in the Tomcat world. I'll hold off on both plans.
Yoav
