http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=35965 Summary: JMSAppender JMS properties unaccessible to subclasses Product: Log4j Version: 1.2 Platform: All OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: minor Priority: P2 Component: Appender AssignedTo: log4j-dev@logging.apache.org ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED] I'm wanting to extend the JMSAppender to reuse the JMS code (I can just pass in the required connection info), however, I can't use the append method as it stands (I need it to publish TextMessage's not ObjectMessage's). I wanted to be able to simply override the append method, but the internal properties (topicConnection, topicSession etc) are not accessible. They should be "protected" to allow extended classes to have access to them. -- Configure bugmail: http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
