The jar in question is XStream:
http://xstream.codehaus.org/Xstream would simplify Chainsaw quite a bit and speed development of some useful features.
Incidentally JmDNS has now relicensed themselves under ASL 2.0, which is good news for some auto-discovery stuff I'll be working on:
