Just checking with everyone that using a BSD licensed JARs is ok? Are we able to place a particular version of said Jar inside our CVS repository? Or must be enable it via the standard build.properties mechanism?

The jar in question is XStream:

http://xstream.codehaus.org/

Xstream would simplify Chainsaw quite a bit and speed development of some useful features.

Incidentally JmDNS has now relicensed themselves under ASL 2.0, which is good news for some auto-discovery stuff I'll be working on:

I take it hosting an ASL 2.0 jar inside the CVS repo is ok?

cheers,

Paul
