Ralph, Thanks for contributing these changes and reporting them. You can open a new Bugzilla issue (http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla), selecting log4j as the product and describing your work. You can then attach diff files comparing your patch to the existing files: use the diff -u format. Thanks,
