I've labeled a rc 1 for an "extras" companion that contains the
combined features of the filters, logmf, logsf, pattern-layout,
rolling and sound companions. I'd envision "extras" as the home for
any little incremental functionality that works with previous log4j
1.2 releases and does not add any new dependency. I didn't have my
reference VM to build a release for the people.apache.org, but I'll
do that later tonight.
I found a few files missing the required source header in the filters
companion. I've fixed that in the SVN, but that would scuttle the
filters release candidate 1.
I would not suggest doing both an "extras" and the individual
companions. I'm liking the "extras" right now over the other approach.
